Protect Your Family And Peace Of Mind

It’s no secret that the VA doesn’t have much in the way of life insurance for our Veterans. Even those who can qualify for it, often don’t. Benefits for Veterans advocates for those (and their families) who cannot get coverage for free. Our underwriters have more than 10 years of experience helping Veterans find the best policy for them and their families.

As a Veteran led company we offer support that is not provided by traditional commercial insurance companies. We understand your circumstances because we’ve been there before and we want to help.

Jesse Cummins

VETERAN RELATIONS MANAGER

My name is Jesse Cummins and I served in the United States Army for 5 years. Getting out of the Army was very difficult for me at times because I did not have anyone to guide me on what to do or where to go in my career. One of the first things I did when I got out of the Army was get life insurance. That then lead me to get into the insurance industry as a career so that I can help people who are in the same position I was. I knew that if I was in the industry and in front of veterans that I could share my story and help point them in the right direction.

Calvin Wright

INSURANCE SPECIALIST

My name is Calvin Wright and  in the United States Army for 7 years, during which I competed in high-level NCO competitions and various military training like Airborne and Ranger School. My career was full of duty and service and when I got hurt in a military airborne accident, I had to retire. I wanted to continue serving this great country but didn’t know how until I found the insurance industry. My primary goal is to help veterans like myself with insurance, so they don’t leave their families with final expenses which the VA and other military programs don’t cover. I am an expert in military and veteran benefits and my sole mission is to help as many veterans as possible.

Barry Freshour

INSURANCE SPECIALIST

My name is Barry Freshour and I proudly served in the United States Navy from 2008-2011. During that time, I served at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois, and Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia. I was medically separated in 2011 and because of that, uniquely understand the challenges that veterans can face getting life insurance coverage through the VA and also through the private sector. I know how hard the transition from military to civilian life can be and want to help make that process easier for other Veterans.

What is life insurance?

Life insurance is a type of insurance policy that provides financial protection to the beneficiaries of the policyholder in the event of their death. The policyholder pays a premium to the insurance company, and in return, the insurance company provides a death benefit to the beneficiaries if the policyholder passes away while the policy is in force. The death benefit can be used to help cover expenses such as funeral costs, outstanding debts, and living expenses.

Which type of life insurance is best for me?

There are two main types of life insurance: term life insurance and permanent life insurance. Term life insurance provides coverage for a specified period of time, such as 10, 20, or 30 years. Permanent life insurance, such as whole life insurance, provides coverage for the entire lifetime of the policyholder and also has a cash value component that can grow over time.
